Finding a therapist shouldn’t feel like finding an apartment in Toronto.

If you’ve ever sent five intake emails and gotten three replies two weeks later, only to be told there’s a 6-week waitlist, you already understand the problem. Hearby exists because that gap between needing help and getting help is too wide.

The model

Why a single session works.

Single Session Therapy is an evidence-based model used in clinics worldwide. The premise is simple: most people who attend one session find it meaningful enough that they don’t return for a second.

Not because therapy failed, but because one good conversation, focused on what matters now, often does the work.

You leave with clarity, a plan, or just the relief of being heard.

If after your session you want to continue with the same therapist, you can book directly. No pressure either way.

When a single session fits

A specific decision.

You're weighing something heavy and want a thinking partner who isn't your family or your friends.

A hard week.

Something happened. You don't need ongoing therapy. You need to talk it through, once, with someone trained.

A starting point.

You're considering longer-term therapy but want one session to see what it feels like first.

How it works.

01

You pick an issue you wish to discuss on Hearby.

02

Hearby™ sends the assignment to available therapists that specialise in the issue.

03

Therapist confirms the appointment (usually same day), session starts immediately over Hearby™ or later, your choice. You can also save a therapist to continue with in the future.

No waiting time, no 100-page pre-consultation questionnaire to fill out.

Hearby is a good fit if you…

You don’t need to have it figured out. You just need a place to start.

Need to talk to someone this week, not next month
Don't want to commit to weekly sessions or a subscription
Are facing something specific, a decision, a transition, a hard week
Have tried to find a therapist before and given up
Want to try one session before deciding if ongoing therapy is right for you
